Anini Vista

Private Residence | 2018

scope

Seated on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the home had an established identity the client had cultivated prior to undergoing a formidable expansion of the original building’s footprint. AM joined the project post-structural with a focus on synthesizing the older and newly added spaces. Through the use of layered materials, a consistent lighting schematic, hand-plastered walls, and incorporating the client’s much-loved pieces into the furniture plan, AM was able to create a continuum in which the client could find refuge. Engaging the talents of a wide array of artisans, the project features custom cabinetry, furniture, cladding, and a bespoke teak architectural screen in the living room based on one of AM’s original paintings.
